What is ART4STREET?

For the fourth time in a row members of AEGEE-Kraków organise a project connected with art in its various aspects. Since the three theatrical exchanges have been a great success, this time students decided to focus on the street art.

The “Art4Street” project will take place in May 2010 (5.05-13.05) and will last for 9 days. It will consist mainly of numerous workshops concerning this very form of art. The main objective of the project is to let the participants as well as the inhabitants of Kraków become acquainted with the art street. “Art4Street” will also promote the idea of multiculturalism, at the same time reinforcing the immense historical and cultural heritage of Poland and Kraków in particular. For the 9 days 20 students from all over Europe will be invited.

The participants will learn to make a graffiti, breakdance or play the drums.

“Art4Street” is open for the local community. People not involved in the project will be granted a unique opportunity to take part in working groups, discussions, cultural evenings or street games. Most of the workshops, together with all the displays will take place in Kraków’s parks or in the streets of the Old Town.
